| The Monster Midwest Series is a Dirt Late Model Series that races at tracks in the midwest. In 2008, the Monster Midwest Tour was formed and raced several races with Kevin Weaver taking the tour championship. In 2009, out of the tour a series was formed and raced 15 events with Jason Feger taking the points championship and a series high eight wins. The series is back in 2010 with another 15 events on tap. Entry Fee $20 per race Race Format All cars will qualify 2 laps. Heats will be lined up heads up according to qualifying times. Top 2 cars from each heat will re-draw for starting spots in feature. 20 cars will start all features. All $2,000 to win features will be 40 laps. 2009 Year End Points Payout 1st - $5,000 plus free set of Dyer's Rods, drum of Sunoco fuel, and a leather MMS jacket by ASI 2nd - $2,500 plus 10 sheets of aluminum from Petersen Aluminum 3rd - $1,250 plus free drum of Sunoco fuel from Bazell Race Fuels 4th - $1,000 5th - $800 6th - $700 7th - $650 8th - $600 9th - $500 plus free drum of fuel from Bazell Race Fuels 10th - $400 11th - $350 12th - $275 13th - $225 14th - $200 Rookie of the Year will get a free Rayburn chassis, drum of fuel from Bazell Race Fuels, and a leather MMS jacket from ASI. All candidates who wish to compete for Rookie of the Year will need to apply by calling 217-737-7134 or registering at MMS trailer at first event. Candidates eligible to run for Rookie of the Year will be decided by a 5 person committee. To be eligible for season ending points fund, drivers must attend 80% of events completed. |
